On 9 March 2003 the Round Rock Texas High School Band (from near Austin, TX) visited and performed a memorial service at the memorial.
The 51 band Students, led by Director Mr. Ed Stein, along with parents and friends honored the memory of those KIA on 12-07-1941 aboard USS Utah (BB31/AG16) by playing "Echo" TAPS, reading the ship's history and laying the beautiful wreath pictured below.
