MORE ABOUT LLOYD DALE CLIPPARD
Lloyd Dale Clippard, S2/c USN, USS UTAH was born 10/25/1922, Cape Giraudeau, Missouri. Killed in Action 12/07/1941.
He enlisted in the Navy immediately after finishing High School. He was then sent to the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Geat Lakes, Ill. The remainder of his story is part of history.
The pictures and information regarding Lloyd was sent in by Mr. Rusty Sutton whom we thank very much. Lloyd's remains lie within the Hull of the ship where he stands eternal watch with other shipmates of USS USS UTAH, (BB31/AG16) which lies a few yards away from where the ship was sunk by the sneak attack by aircraft of the Japanese Navy on the first day of infamy, December 7th, 1941.
