USS UTAH MEMORIAL REHABILITATION

SUMMER 2005

During the summer of 2005 the Navy at Pearl Harbor undertook a major program to rehabilitate USS Utah Memorial.

Thanks to Shipmate Ryan Brown, IT1 (SW/AW) USN, who is stationed at Pearl we are able to show some of the early rehab operations.  In the last photo below is the current appearance of the hull of USS UTAH (BB31/AG16).   THANKS RYAN!

AFTER REHABILITATION PHOTOS

After months of work and effort (thank you Mr. Jim Taylor and others) USS Utah Memorial was rehabilitated in time for the December 7th 2005 commemoration ceremony.  (Our appreciation to Shipmate Gil Meyer and Mary Kreigh who flew to Hawaii for the occasion,  and Ryan Brown, IT1 USN for photos)
