WE WELCOME A HERO
At the USS Utah 2004 Reunion
The USS Utah Association has been honored for several years by the attendance of the last living Medal of Honor winner from December 7th 1941, Mr. John Finn.
John is an unpretentious man who says he is happy to be among "his kind of Sailors." Regarding his action at Kaneohe Naval Air Station on December 7th he simply says "The Japs made me mad."
After being wounded, John received medical attended and returned to his position firing his anti-aircraft weapon against enemy planes with fervor.
